The Brooks is a 2,532-acre master-planned community being developed by The Bonita Bay Group with the same commitment to meticulous planning, environmental stewardship, integrity and attention to detail that is evident in its flagship community, Bonita Bay. More than half of the community will remain open space, with 416 acres of undeveloped forest and freshwater wetlands and 878 acres set aside for recreation, open areas, buffers and lakes.
Location:
Located at The Brooks in Bonita Springs, Fla., midway between Naples and Fort Myers, in one of the nation’s most active growth corridors, the Shadow Wood entrance is on Coconut Road, less than three miles from I-75 and only 15 minutes from Southwest Florida International Airport. The Brooks is bordered by Williams Road to the north, I-75 to the east, U.S. 41 and Coconut Road.

Shadow Wood’s broad range of residential options include custom estate single-family, custom single-family, traditional single-family, villa and coach home neighborhoods by participation builders.

Residents are eligible for membership in the Shadow Wood Country Club, which includes three championship golf courses -- Shadow Wood Country Club North and South courses at The Brooks, designed by award-winning designer Bob Cupp, and the Art Hills-designed Preserve at Shadow Wood Preserve, just five miles north of The Brooks. Shadow Wood North and South are anchored by a breathtaking 30,000-square-foot country club with restaurant, lounge, private dining room, pro shop, and men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a nine-court tennis complex. A second clubhouse and golf pro shop is located at Shadow Wood Preserve.

Social Clubs at Shadow Wood:
Shadow Wood Country Club is the social center of the community. Here neighbors and friends mingle and relax after a round of golf, a tennis match or a relaxing dinner at the clubhouse. There's a full social and recreational calendar that encourages members to get together and enjoy the company of neighbors with similar interests to your own.

Town Center at The Brooks provides a venue for all this and more.
The Brooks’ most unique feature is Town Center, offering social, cultural and lifelong learning opportunities. The pedestrian-friendly Town Center includes a village green open to all residents and features a large gazebo for outdoor entertainment, an interactive water feature, “tot lot” playground and paddleboats for enjoyment of The Brooks’ natural waterways, and upland island preserve. Residents and nonresidents (for a limited time) may join The Commons Club and enjoy access o private amenities located at The Brooks Town Center, including the Enrichment Center and Commons Club.
The Commons Club:
The Commons Club Fitness Center, with 10,700 square feet, has workout rooms, massage therapy suites, aerobics studio, locker and sauna areas, and waiting areas throughout the facility. Two large workout rooms are equipped with Cybex training equipment and an open-floor area for aerobics. The Commons Club Fitness Center is the first facility in Southwest Florida to offer Cybex Arc Trainers. Members may choose from a variety of fitness programs, jazzercise, spinning. Pilates, kickboxing, heart-healthy classes and workouts with a personal trainer, and aesthetic services. The outdoor heated pool is 25 by 65 feet with four swimming lanes and two 12- by 10-foot swimout areas, or members may choose to relax in the secluded spa.
Rose Spoonbil:
Rosie Spoonbill’s private waterfront restaurant, complete with open kitchen, offers casual indoor and outdoor dining in a unique Florida atmosphere featuring life-sized replicas of animals, fish and birds. The restaurant provides panoramic views of the lake, upland island and the village green, and serves lunch and dinner to members seven days a week.
The Village Green:
The Village Green is the perfect spot for family picnics, a game of Frisbee with friends, or a peaceful stroll beside the lake. It was designed to accommodate outdoor mini-concerts and holiday events. The Village Green offers views of the surrounding nature preserves where wildlife, such as ibis, swallow-tailed kites and great herons flourish. Residents may choose to join The Commons Club, providing access to the private facilities located at Town Center
Enrichment Center:
The Enrichment Center, featuring a myriad of educational offerings and special interest meetings. The center also offers video conferencing services, a computer lab with on line and Internet training with high-speed data capability, and outings for members to various cultural, sporting and community events.
Beach Club:
The Beach Club is limited to gold-level resident members of The Commons Club. Located on the Gulf of Mexico on Bonita Beach, The Beach Club features a gazebo, snack bar, pavilions with grills, beach chairs, showers and restroom facilities and private parking.
Health Center:
The Bonita Community Health Center, located at the entrance to The Brooks, is a joint effort between Lee Memorial Health System and Naples Community Hospital. The health Center complex encompasses 100,000 square feet with multi-disciplinary physician offices, laboratory and radiology services, pain management and outpatient surgery.
Technology:
Residents of Shadow Wood can tap into state-of-the-art fiber optic high-speed data services integrated into the community’s infrastructure during development. Residents can also utilize a unique, interactive intranet site that features community information, events, tee/court reservations via e-mail, bulletin boards for posting messages, personal calendars, and links to popular shopping, travel and financial sites on the Internet.
A computer learning center facility in the Town Center; Educational programs for residents including financial planning, software training and Internet use; Sprint high-speed data service enabling residents to download Internet files that normally take as long as an hour, in as little as two minutes; Community information television channel that keeps residents up-to-date on the latest news and events happening in The Brooks.
The Brooks intranet lets even the most inexperienced computer user plan his or her calendar, find a tennis partner, keep up on social events, reserve a tee time or tennis court, participate in community surveys and take part in online discussions with friends and neighbors.

Membership Information:
Resident Golf Membership - Golf members will be entitled use of all the golf, tennis and social facilities at Shadow Wood and Shadow Wood Preserve. They will not be required to pay greens fees or court fees for use of the golf and tennis facilities, but will be required to pay golf cart fees. Golf members will have the highest priority to reserve golf starting times and tennis court times. All Shadow Wood Country Club Resident Golf Members automatically become Resident Gold Members of The Commons Club. The cap for this membership is 350 per 18 holes of golf.
Resident Tennis Membership - Tennis Members will be entitled to use tennis and social facilities at Shadow Wood Country Club. Tennis Members will have the highest priority to reserve court times. Tennis Members are entitled to limited golf privileges during the off-season, on a space available basis.
Resident Social Membership - Social members will be entitled use of all social facilities of the Shadow Wood Country Club. They will be entitled to use the golf facilities during the off-season (May 1 - October 31) upon the payment of greens fees and golf cart fees. Social members will have third priority to reserve golf starting times on a space available basis. They will not be entitled to golf privileges during the winter season. The cap for this membership is the number of residential units minus the golf and sports memberships.
