West Bay Club

Funny, isn’t it, how the grandeur of nature can help us put things into perspective.  A walk in the woods, a canoe ride, even a day of lazy fishing lets us rediscover what’s truly important.  Such is life at West Bay Club.  Every day, the natural beauty that surrounds you refreshes, invigorates and inspires.  Amid this natural splendor, you can’t help but feel your life is in balance.

Lifestyle:

West Bay Club residents tend to be early risers.  It’s easy to see why.  With gorgeous natural surroundings, an exceptional golf course and club, a private beach club on the Gulf of Mexico, a fully amenitized social clubhouse, and a magical river park, every day can be as full as you want it to be.

Nature:

West Bay Club has been called “a sanctuary by the sea.”  Sheltered by Estero Bay to the west and the Estero River to the north, its wetlands, woodlands and preserves offer safe haven to hundreds of species of birds, retiles and all sorts of land and aquatic animals.  Stands of century-old trees, flowering plants and bushes too numerous to mention flourish here as well.  It’s no wonder that the residents feel West Bay Club is the perfect retreat for them, too.  Because nature has provided us with such an extraordinary setting, West Bay Club has intentionally limited the number of homesites available.  Its intimate neighborhoods are tucked in as closely as possible to the natural surroundings.  The goal has been and always will be to complement what nature has given us.

Golf:

Playing a round at the championship course at West Bay Club is part golf, part nature tour.  The course designers, Pete and P.B. Dye, have worked diligently to create a course that is both challenging to golfers and respectful of the land that surrounds it.

When you play the championship course at West Bay Club, your companions may include a red-shouldered hawk, river otters or a gopher tortoise or two.  Weaving through wooded acres and crisscrossed by Halfway Creek, the course is a delight to both nature lovers and golf lovers.  From the time you tee off on number one, there is water, water everywhere, since twelve of the eighteen holes have spectacular water features.  Holes ten, fourteen and fifteen are positioned along a unique sand ridge, to create a links-type feeling.  Fairway landing areas are tight but well defined.  So be ready to use all your clubs, and enjoy some of the most satisfying golf you have ever played.

The 30,000 square foot Golf House at West Bay Club is an innovatively designed as the championship course, to maximize the members’ comfort.  Unlike other golf clubs typically built on a square design, the Golf House is long and dramatically situated so that it overlooks holes one, nine, and eighteen, three of the most spectacular on the course.  The club level features a gallery that runs virtually the length of the club, a spacious restaurant and bar and a separate, more intimate dining room for special occasions.  The wide veranda provides panoramic vies of the course.  Men’s and women’s locker rooms are tastefully appointed and luxuriously proportioned.  The pro shop carries an outstanding selection of equipment and clothing for both men and women.  And a short walk across a picturesque bridge takes you to The Niblick, the distinctive 19th hole.  It’s the perfect place to eat, drink and recount a rewarding round.

Bay House:

The Bay House isn’t the largest community clubhouse you will find.  But it could well be the most charming.  The airy, inviting foyer opens into an expansive gallery.  Both areas reflect many of the best ideas in contemporary European décor.  Inside is the Bay House grill and bar, which offers eclectic menus for lunch and dinner.  You can relax in the spacious drawing room, with great views from its enclosed veranda.  The lower level has a fully equipped Cybex fitness center, as well as massage rooms, a personal training room and spacious locker rooms.  All West Bay Club residents are welcome.  Outdoors, there’s a junior Olympic-sized pool, a separate children’s pool, a covered spa and lighted Har-Tru tennis courts.  In short, the Bay House has all the ingredients for a great day.

Beach House:

When West Bay Club residents can manage to tear themselves away from the natural beauty that surrounds them, they often head to the Beach House.  It’s a private beach club on Little Hickory Island, and it’s available to all West Bay Club residents.  The Beach House has all the beachside amenities you would expect, and our beach is, of course, handicap accessible.  Designed with Key West flair, the Beach House sits high above the beach.  The 85-seat restaurant and bar offers seating indoors and outdoors, and a menu spiced with many local favorites, prepared by an expert culinary staff.  It’s the ideal place to sit back, enjoy the views and recount a perfect day with family and friends.

River Park:

Located at the north end of the property, right on the Estero River is West Bay Club’s River Park.  It’s the place to launch a canoe or kayak for a relaxed trip along the river’s tranquil waters, which lead to Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.  It’s also a nice place to wet your line and try your luck at the plentiful native fish.  Kids love River Park, too.  It has a children’s playground, a lighted basketball court, a large all-purpose sports field and a 1.5-mile, 12-station Vita course.  River Park is where residents learn even more about the fascinating flora and fauna that surrounds them.  So pack a lunch and maybe a book and we will see you around the bend.

Neighborhoods:

It’s true, 60% of West Bay Club’s 858 acres will remain untouched.  But wait until you see what they’ve done with the rest.

Chapel Ridge – The tenth and fourteenth are two of the prettiest fairways on the course at West Bay Club.  The natural beauty of the deep green nature preserves along Halfway Creek is mesmerizing.  The lucky residents of Chapel Ridge have their choice of either view and many of the 53 spacious homesites offer both.  Chapel Ridge is not only beautiful, it’s beautifully situated.  It’s just a short stroll to West Bay Club’s House, Golf House and driving range.

Indigo Shores – This neighborhood of 92 luxury carriage homes is nestled amid verdant nature preserves and sparkling lakes, offering its residents spectacular views.  These homes feature Mediterranean architecture, a private covered entry and two-car garage.  Residents enjoy their own private clubhouse, pool and spa, in addition the use of West Bay Club’s Bay House and Beach house.

Nature’s Cove – The golf course at West Bay Club is perhaps the most picturesque on the Gulf Coast.  Residents of Nature’s Cove can attest to that, since nearly every one of the 81 grand villa homesites affords dazzling golf course views.  And while Nature’s cove is set amidst this scenic course, the privacy of the neighborhood’s residents has been protected.  Brick pavers and natural green expanses are among the distinctive touches that characterize this neighborhood.  Within easy walking distance of the Bay House and Golf House, Nature’s Cove has a true neighborhood feel.  No two grand villas in Nature’s Cove will be exactly alike.

Sunset Trace – Sunset Trace is a nature lover’s dream neighborhood, since a majority of the 65 single-family homes border protected wetlands and woodlands.  Your immediate neighbors will be hundreds of species of birds and animals along with a colorful variety of plants, trees and flowers.  The fifteenth fairway stretches across the western periphery, a par five famous for the deep pot bunker guarding the green.  A cluster of nature preserves affords beauty and privacy.

Turtle Pointe Cove – With just 19 single-family homes, Turtle Pointe Cove is perhaps the most intimate neighborhood.  Airy floor plans with volume ceilings, gathering rooms and screen lanais create an open, relaxed environment.  Turtle Pointe Cove is ideally situated against a backdrop of nature preserves and just a short walk from River Park.  So look around.  Although it’s small, you will like what you see at Turtle Pointe Cove.

Laurel Oaks – Situated on a tranquil cul-de-sac, with just 34 spacious homesites sprinkled along Red Laurel Lane, Laurel Oaks is perhaps the most intimate of West Bay’s neighborhoods.  If you decide that Laurel Oak is the place for you, you will then have to choose between golf course and preserve views.  It’s a tough decision, but either way, you cannot go wrong.

Riverbrooke – Quiet, secluded and sheltered are just a few of the adjectives people use to describe Riverbrooke, a community of 55 estate homesites.  Virtually surrounded by nature preserves, many of the homesites at Riverbrooke also provide exceptional golf course views of holes eleven, twelve and thirteen.  You do not have to be a golfer to appreciate the graceful design of this landscape, with incredible water features, stately trees and rolling terrain.  These homesites are among the largest at West Bay Club.

Turtle Pointe – Nestled just beyond the fifteenth fairway are 64 Mediterranean-style carriage homes at Turtle Pointe.  Residents here enjoy invigorating views of nature and the abundant wildlife of West Bay Club.  Turtle Pointe residents have a private clubhouse, pool and spa in addition to the use of West Bay Club’s Beach House and Bay House.

Jasmine Bay – Nothing has been overlooked to deliver the southwest Florida luxury living experience you desire.  Jasmine Bay is 20 stories of gracious residences ranging from 1,766 square feet of living area to penthouse at over 4,200 square feet of living area.  Residents enjoy an amenity-rich, self-contained lifestyle, with the wider available options of West Bay Club within walking distance.

The amenity level includes beautifully furnished guest suites available to owners to rent for their guests both in the North tower and South tower.  From an on-site suite, the manager caters to you and your guests around the clock.

Jasmine Bay’s spacious pool deck has been laid out for your enjoyment.  Lounge at poolside, relax in the sparkling spa or retreat from the sun to a private cabana.  Or simply gaze out at the stunning views of the lake, the manicured green of the 18th hole and pristine preserve land from expensive terraces.  Further facilities for residents include a club room with bar and kitchen, fully equipped fitness center, state-of-the-art theatre and card room.
